No Scalpel Vasectomy

A No-Scalpel Vasectomy is a safe procedure with a low risk of side effects carried out as a day procedure. You do not need to be admitted to hospital to undergo vasectomy, and patients return to normal activities after a couple of days. It is performed under local anaesthetic in our clinic in South Dublin. You may choose to have your vasectomy while sedated (very sleepy), in which case you will need a lift home.

Dr. Killian Bates

Dr. Killian Bates graduated from Trinity College, Dublin in 2004. He underwent specialist training in General Practice. He is an experienced family planning doctor and has worked in specialist family planning clinics in Ireland and the UK. He is trained in all aspects of family planning, including postgraduate training in vasectomy surgery. Dr. Bates has completeted postgraduate Diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. He has completed the Certificate of Special Skills Training in the provision of vasectomy services, conferred by the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London.
