Lakeside Glamping Lodge in Donegal

An idyllic lakeside Glamping Lodge with yurt accommodation on the Wild Atlantic Way in Donegal, Ireland. Set on 90 acres with lake-frontage, wildflower meadows and heather hills with sweeping views of Donegal Bay. Five spacious 20ft yurts luxuriously furnished with wood-burning stoves and verandas offering lake, forest and mountain views. The uniquely designed Eco Lodge communal building provides a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, showers, loos and large comfortable hang-out space with panromaic views. On site activites; wild swimming, fishing, kayaking, hill-walking and hiking. The perfect getaway for all the family and a great base from which to explore the North West of Ireland.

Idyllic alternative Wedding Venue

Set on 90 acres in South Donegal with lake frontage, Lough Mardal Lodge offers a beautiful and unique venue in a truly idyllic location for couples who are looking for somewhere that little bit different to celebrate their wedding.

The Lodge is a 100 capacity venue showcasing great Irish eco design by Cork artist and designer Christy Collard. An eco building constructed almost entirely with natural materials, the walls are built with strawbales and have been plastered with mud and clay. There is a 'living' roof alive with the grasses and wildflowers excavated from the earth around it, blending the building with the landscape surrounding it. Apart from offering guests a large fully-equipped kitchen, loos and showers - its main feature is the striking Reciprocal Room, a beautiful open-plan space with spiraling beams overhead and panoramic views of lake, forest and mountains and french doors that spill out onto a wildflower meadow leading down to the lake shoreline, the most idyllic spot for an intimate wedding reception.

Exclusive use of the site not only offers a beautiful, picturesque setting but also overnight luxury glamping accommodation for the wedding party with an optional additional supply of Bell Tents for guests and ample space for guests to pitch their own tents. Each yurt is bright and very spacious at 20ft diameter, luxuriously furnished with wood-burning stove and private verandas overlooking lake and forest.
